Susan Lee Haag

Susan “Sue” Lee Haag, age 72, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on May 19, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, Sue embodied compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her gentle spirit, warm presence, and steady love touched countless lives. 

She was a dedicated member of the Hernando De Soto Historical Society, reflecting her passion for giving back to the community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley Walrath, and her son, Douglas Smith. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Haag; daughters, Sandy Smith, Michelle Haag, and Tracey Reynolds; grandchildren, Natavia “Ali” Kelley, Breon Brannic, Nathan Kelley, and Ava Reynolds; great-grandchild, Brinley Villanueva; her brother, Richard Walrath; and her loving cousin, Terri Ingrum.

A celebration of life will be held August 9, 2025, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Bradenton Moose Lodge, 310 44th Ave E, Bradenton, FL 34203. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share memories, and honor Susan.

Susan’s life was a testament to kindness, love, family, and the joy of simple moments. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate to know her.
