Mary Alice (Pence) Cole, "Nanny," age 87, passed away peacefully on June 10th 2026. Born on July 1, 1938, in Morehead, Kentucky. Mary lived a life marked by resilience, hard work, and a love for the simple joys of life. Mary spent much of her career as a dedicated server before venturing into entrepreneurship with her own construction cleaning company. Her strong work ethic and determination were evident throughout her life. She faced challenges with courage and grace, including a long and difficult battle with health issues that ultimately led to her final days at Hospice care. Mary had a passion for finding treasures in unexpected places. She loved thrift shopping and yard sales, always on the hunt for a bargain that brought her joy. Her green thumb was unmatched; she had an extraordinary ability to nurture plants and could make anything grow. These hobbies reflected her resourceful and nurturing spirit. Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Leslie Mann (Carl Wright), four grandchildren, Samantha Lee, Michelle Widner, Daniel Mann, and John Kiser, and seven great-grandchildren, her sister, Freda Harris, several nieces and nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Phil Kiser, and her first great-grandchild, Madison Lee. The memories she created with her family will be cherished forever.
