Lance Young

Lance Edward Young, beloved father of Dillon, passed away in Bradenton, FL, while under hospice care. Lance was born in Chicago, IL, on August 12, 1960, to Ronald E. Young (deceased) and Lorraine A. Young (Kalfas). He attended high school at both Downers Grove North and Downers Grove South. Graduated from Downers Grove South in 1978.

He is survived by his mother, Lorraine A. Young (Bradenton, FL), his aunt Antoinette (Kalfas) Storts, his sister Michele L. Young married to Edward J. Moshinsky, his brother Laurence P. Young married to Bridget L. Young (Gross), and his sister Laura M. Young.

Uncle Fun will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Kelly Winters and her husband Ryan Sander, Shauna Winters, Paige Durante (Young) and her husband Troy Durante, Walker, and Noah Young.

At 6’8”, Lance was larger than life with a gentle heart and a loving soul for people and animals in need. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Kiara, a police dog rejected for being too friendly. Kiara was one of the multiple pets he gave a loving home to over his lifetime.

Lance’s family hopes his friends will join us to celebrate his life.
